Jay Merson was born in West London in 19?? He grew up and spent much of his youth there and in the home counties. He has lived in Hampstead, Golders Green, Southwark, Paddington, Notting Hill and Finchley as well as In Amersham, Gerrards Cross, The Chalfonts and in Oxford.

Married for 30 years, Jay is now divorced and lives in a small villa on the island of Sicily with, a lovely new lady in his life. His two grown up daughters still live in the UK. His other remaining family now live in Brighton and surrounding areas.

As well as writing, Jay (until recently) ran an Estate agency on the island but now just runs building projects, refurbishing and selling villas to English and American clients.

Jay also runs writer's courses (including erotic and BDSM) at his villa. Week-long intensive courses for those wishing to either learn the basics or to improve their existing writing.

• Features: 5' 8" medium build, not fat but not thin. Fairly fit.

• Average working day. 16 hours, usually more.
• Eating out. Not overkeen on pizza but occasionally indulge, more a steak and chips man.
